We made Number Plate Calendar for CALENDAR & GIFT exhibition. The Number Plate was used in bank or as a key number for lockers in Japan before the ticket number machine came out. Now it is rarely used, we decided to use them for the calendar. The set of plates is 50 numbers which are perfect for 31 numbers for dates, 7 alphabets for days, 12 numbers for months !
Calendar&Gift 전에서 제로퍼제로는 넘버 플레이트를 걸어 만년 달력으로 사용할 수 있는 캘린더를 제작했습니다. 넘버 플레이트는 매장에서 주문 순서를 파악하기 위해 사용된 번호로, 현재 은행 같은 곳에서 쓰이는 감열종이 번호표가 보편화 되기 전에 일본에서 사용되던 도구라고 합니다. 혹은 사물함 등의 열쇠순서를 파악하기 위한 열쇠고리로 사용되었습니다. 현재는 사용되는 곳이 많이 줄어들었으나 플레이트가 컷팅된 느낌도 좋고 숫자 한 개 한개 정성들여 만들어져있다는 느낌이 듭니다. 한 세트에는 총 50개의 플레이트가 들어있는데, 날짜 31개 + 요일 7개 + 월 12개로 50개가 필요한 만년 달력에 딱 맞았습니다.
